Bounds Green Ward lies centre north of the borough, bordering Enfield.  Taken overall it has a medium score on the Indices of Deprivation 2004.  Despite one or two hot-spots, and short spates of a variety of crimes and behaviour, it has the second lowest level of recorded crime in Haringey.

The Panel currently has 34 members which include 3 Ward Councillors, 3 Schools’ representatives, and 16 Community representatives, local associations, traders, neighbourhood watch etc. The average attendance over the 2 years to summer 2008 has been 13 members.  We currently meet every 3 months.  We used to meet more often but found that this was not necessary.

Even though we have reduced the number of meetings there is still a good deal of work to do and all the community members are over-stretched, so the duties of Chair are shared by 2 co-chairs who deal with all matters for alternate meetings.  One of the co-chairs, Caroline Simpson, attends the Haringey, borough-wide meetings.
