Highgate is frequently regarded as being a leafy and affluent part of the borough and whilst it is certainly leafy, because they are well integrated, it is all too easy to overlook the fact that there are also areas of social housing and needs within the ward.

It cannot be fairly described as a high crime area but nevertheless it does have its share of robberies, burglaries and occasional murders, and of course car crime is a constant nuisance to residents.

The ward panel meets regularly and works to bring new members onto the panel to ensure that it is representative of all interests within the ward. All members of the panel enjoy an excellent working relationship with the ward’s Safer Neighbourhood Team and Sergeant.
