Seven Sisters ward is and has always been a labour Ward; its current elected Councillors are:

Claire Kober.
Dhiren Basu.
Joe Goldberg.

The Ward covers parts of Green Lanes, in particular the Arena Retail Park, which gives the SNPT lots of problems regarding the traffic congestion. The Ward also covers parts of South Tottenham leading to Stamford Hill as well as the area along the Seven Sisters Road, which is one of the main TFL routes through London

Over the past two and a half years the policing priorities of the ward has been fairly consistent with Youth Crime & Disorder, Drug & Alcohol misuse, Street prostitution and Vice and Traffic problems. This is not to say that the SNPT have not done a fantastic job over the last few years, but the perception and resident fear of crime seems to remain constant. For example the levels of Street prostitution are very low compared to two years ago, but it is one of those issues that if not kept in check it will re-emerge. The Seven Sisters SNPT has one of the highest arrest rates thanks to their commitment and constant hard work.
  • Street Crime: 2006-2007 – 63 incidents of theft from a person – snatch and pick pocketing.
  • Youth Crime: 2006-2007 – 62 incidents of youth crime in Seven Sisters.
  • Auto Crime: 2006-2007 – 80 incidents of theft/taking and driving away in Seven Sisters.
  • Residential Burglary: 2006-2007 – 155 incidents of residential burglary.
