The ward of St Ann’s has is a ward in the south of the borough of Haringey. It has a population of approximately 13,000 people. The St Ann's Panel was established & held its inaugural meeting on the 10th July 2006 following an earlier public meeting on the 26th June. the panel consists of a broad range of local reps including representatives from local schools, resident associations, faith organisations, other community bodies, local council members and council neighbourhood staff. In October 2008 Sgt Tim Hannah took over from Sgt Nick Day as the Team leader for the St Ann's SNT. Our current 3 priority issues as agreed at the most recent panel meeting in December 2008, following a concerted consultation round are: - Burglary
- Drugs and Alcohol Misuse/Disorder
- Personal Safety/Violence
Panel members consider that we have built up a strong and healthy relationship with officers of the St Ann's SNT and that access to police officers & PCSO's, and general confidence in and awareness of their undertakings has measurably improved over the period of the panel's existence. An ongoing concern remains the current under use and threatened closure of the St Anns Neighbourhood police station. - Street Crime: 2006-2007 – 104 incidents of theft from a person – snatch and pick pocketing.
- Youth Crime: 2006-2007 – 83 incidents of youth crime in St Ann’s ward.
- Auto Crime: 2006-2007 – 79 incidents of theft/taking and driving away in St Ann’s ward.
- Residential Burglary: 2006-2007 – 244 incidents of residential burglary.
- Non Residential Burglary: 2006- 2007 – 32 incidents of non-residential burglary.
